WJY Jewellery proudly participated in the 2026 “Jewels & Art: Extraordinary Craftsmanship” International Bespoke Jewellery Exhibition, held on June 26–27 at the Fosun Foundation Shanghai. Hosted by Informa Markets, this landmark event aimed to elevate Shanghai’s bespoke economy and establish a world‑class platform for designers from China and abroad.
This year’s exhibition was not only a celebration of artistry and technique, but also a powerful convergence of global perspectives, original design, and cultural innovation — reinforcing Shanghai’s position as a rising leader in the international bespoke jewellery landscape.
WJY Jewellery’s presence at the event follows a year of significant achievements, including being named Finalist for the UK Jewellery Award 2025 and holding professional membership with both NAJ (National Association of Jewellers) and Gem‑A (The Gemmological Association of Great Britain).
A Global Stage for Craftsmanship, Creativity, and Innovation
Over two days, the exhibition attracted more than 1,000 jewellery professionals, collectors, and industry partners, creating an inspiring environment for exchange, discovery, and collaboration.
Four Major Highlights Defined the 2026 Edition
01. Live Demonstration by World‑Renowned Gem‑Cutting Master Victor Tuzlukov
The exhibition opened with a breathtaking live demonstration by Victor Tuzlukov, one of the world’s most celebrated gem cutters and a three‑time Guinness World Record holder. Victor showcased the transformation from raw gemstone to precision‑cut masterpiece, revealing the extraordinary discipline, mathematics, and artistry behind high‑level lapidary work.
His demonstration offered visitors a rare opportunity to witness the pinnacle of gem‑cutting craftsmanship — a true fusion of science and art.
02. Over 100 Masterpieces from Leading Designers Across 10 Countries and Regions
The exhibition brought together an exceptional roster of international and Chinese designers, including:
-
Stephen Webster (UK) – MBE recipient and global design icon
-
Victor Mayer (Germany) – 130‑year heritage brand known for guilloché enamel
-
Alessio Boschi (Italy) – celebrated for architectural storytelling in jewellery
-
Wolfers (Belgium) – royal‑appointed art jewellery house
More than 100 finished pieces were exhibited — spanning classical elegance, avant‑garde experimentation, and modern luxury — each expressing a deep devotion to jewellery as art.
03. “Gender‑Neutral Gemstone Jewellery Design Challenge” Showcase
A dedicated section featured over 50 shortlisted design manuscripts from the 2024–2026 “Gender‑Neutral Gemstone Jewellery Design Challenge.”
This initiative explores jewellery beyond traditional gender boundaries, encouraging emerging designers to embrace diversity, fluidity, and new aesthetic possibilities. The showcased manuscripts demonstrated bold imagination and fresh interpretations of “beauty without limits.”
04. Professional Salons on Design Trends & Coloured Gemstones
Throughout the event, industry experts, designers, and gem specialists gathered for high‑level discussions on:
-
international jewellery design trends
-
the future of bespoke craftsmanship
-
innovation in coloured gemstones
-
cross‑cultural design narratives
These salons fostered meaningful dialogue and sparked new creative inspiration across the industry.
